Have questions about baby development and feeding milestones? Would you like guidance on starting solids or helping your toddler with picky eating? Wondering about what items are recommended by experts for your baby registry?
Our consultation appointments take into consideration that every child and family is unique, and our recommendations are tailored to your individual needs. We are here to support you and your family to thrive.
A great option as a prenatal consultation before your little one arrives!
(This is not direct therapy)
We will complete a thorough medical, developmental, and feeding history review, an oral sensory-motor assessment and feeding/mealtime observation. Together, we will work collaboratively to develop goals and an individualized feeding program for your child and family.
Therapy sessions are designed to target feeding goals and be fun for you and your child. We incorporate your child's strengths and interests to foster a positive and warm relationship with eating. We integrate a spoonful of playful child engagement, a sprinkle of parent coaching and a whole lot of fun!
TETHERED ORAL TISSUES (TOTS) CARE
Do you have concerns about your baby's tongue, cheek, and/or lip ties? We will evaluate your baby's oral motor skills, fine and gross motor developmental milestones, sensory processing, tension, and more (because feeding is a whole-body activity!) to address breastfeeding and/or bottle-feeding challenges. Based on your baby's functional skills and needs, we take a team approach working with other providers that may include (but are not limited to) lactation consultants, pediatricians, dentists, doulas, craniosacral therapists, chiropractors, physical therapists, etc. to ensure your baby gets the best possible care.
If the oral ties are impacting feeding and development and having a frenectomy is recommended, we work collaboratively with highly skilled and compassionate release providers to provide individualized pre and post-frenectomy oral motor therapy and bodywork to maximize the best outcome and function.
We are based in the greater Seattle area offering in-home, clinic,
and virtual services. Virtual consultation is available worldwide.
